Gene Scott pretty much nailed Andy's game right there. Andy's good enough to get by the players lower then him, but when he faces the A-listers, they expose the numerous flaws in his game.

Federer needs better vision? One loss to Gasquet and he decides he needs special contacts? :P

Rafter is on a roll - first he cracks Tarango, and now he smacks Rios. :D

Thanks, tennis-x, for reminding me about Nadal's statistical numbers this year. I was visiting atptennis.com a few weeks ago and I noticed Nadal is among the leaders (if not #1) in many service and return statistical categories.

Oddly (or perhaps not), Agassi was not to be found on return leaderboards....

The last thing the rest of the guys on the ATP want is for Federer to have better vision!

Nadal having such good stats on the second serve says more about his ground game than it does his serving. He has been so solid on the baseline that he has been getting away with not having a strong serve. Imagine when/if he pumps it up a notch or two. Vamos!

This just in: Roddick announces that Lacoste is creating special night vision goggles in order for him combat Fed's new found vision edge. They're also trying to work on a trucker hat/goggle combo that will be functional and yet fashionably appealing to the target 24-35 male demographic. Should be out in time for x-mas...

That is so bogus. I mean, you could argue that Sampras didn't learn his one-handed backhand until (relatively) late at 11 or 12, yet that didn't stop him from being an amazing player. To say that Andy can't improve his transition game and volleys is ridiculous --- especially with that forehand as a set-up shot.

And, furthermore, considering that Andy is number four in the world, I would say that beating all the players underneath him is pretty f-ing good.

For Andy is beating the players beneath you good enough?

... Just a thought

Yes, I am saying that is pretty good. He is number Four in the world. That means, there are only three guys in the world whom he can't beat AT THIS MOMENT. I would say that is pretty good.

Just a statement.
