The comedy is back ...

Postby funches on Tue Feb 09, 2010 11:50 pm

On the Tennis-X home page. Unfortunately, it's unintentional this time. Check out the new blogger who has a poll on the next American to win a first grand slam, with names like Donald Young, Madison Keys, Coco Vandweigh and someone named Jack Sock.

I haven't laughed that hard in a while. This dude is dead serious, too. No sarcasm.

Given the upfront "I root for 'mericans and not those durned feriners" statement, I was wondering whether this was Pete Bodo under an assumed name. But I don't think even he would put on people like Lauren Davis (who?) or Jack Sock (who?).

Actually, I think I played Jack Sock in the New Orleans 4.0 Flex League a few months ago.

He had a killer slice forehand and a sneaky underhand backspin trick serve. He could go far.

If we would like some other hilarity, the description (as of 8:31 AM EST) under the Sports Illustrated tennis webpage reads "In 1982, there were 43 American men in the top 10." I guess there's some new math being practiced there.
