The “whereabouts” rules seem a bit intrusive to me, with officials turning up to test Federer at 7am after he had travelled all the way back from Australia, and Rafa Nadal even being called out the bath. In comparison with other sports, tennis is relatively clean, with only about 50 positive tests since the 1980s. Of course that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be tested, but maybe the testing should be restricted within slightly more sociable boundaries? Furthermore, although not by any means ideal, at least the problems arising are mainly with recreational substances, rather than performance enhancing drugs. The LTA magazine ACE has an article this month on anti-doping in tennis if you are interested to find out more.
